2. Who we are:
Jai Rodgers: at Kalaheo High School Jai completed courses in video production.After high school he completed Final Cut Four Certification courses at the University of Hawaii. Jai, 22 years old, is now Chief Editor for the Company and for all customer projects.
**Jai has a passion and talent for singing, playing guitar, and writing music.Buckz Boyz is his popular and exciting band, with his dad Buck and his 17-year-old brother Danny.Their two unique CD's bridge any possible generation gap! He also performs with BET, a very popular local Hawaiian band, as a trombonist.
He works with Lau Vision Television Channel 11, and on other editing projects for Star Tracks, where he co-hosts his family music show of Hawaiian talent.
He has completed scores of projects too numerous to mention, including Business Network International (BNI), Income Builders International (IBI), Hawaii Diamond Fusion, DOE's Hawaii Truancy Project, Professor Chuck Burrows Environmental Projects, Hawaii Dream Makeover, Channel 16 pre-production, and The Amazing Women Seminar. A few regular musical groups appear on Star Tracks such as BET, Natural Vibes, & Simplisity, to name a few.
Buck Rodgers: his career in entertainment began 45 years ago in high school as a musician when he had a band with a major hit in his hometown in New Mexico.He played and sang as "Bill Rodgers & the Heart Breakers". He joined the Navy and came to Pearl Harbor serving on the US Newell DER 322during the Cold War of 1958-62. In the Navy at Pearl Harbor, Buck became interested in television and video from the production side of entertainment. He also worked as a photographer. Buck went to LA City College majoring in production, and minoring in acting. While in Hollywood, Buck worked in 7 or 8 movies,Warner Brothers, Universal and in various capacities from soundman to cinematographer.
**Buck always loved music and continues to pursue this love.
Throughout the years his bands were LeadFeather, Allright Family Band,and now The Buck Boyz along with his two sons, friends, and seasoned entertainers. He also performed with Jai as a trombonist for BET. He has been with all sorts of bands, has been producing music television shows with various companies before MTV in 35 mm, and made commercials in LA.In Maui he began tv shows of his own in Hawaii, and since 1986 has had his own television show "Buck Rodgers Hawaiian Beat TV". Currently, Buck Rodgers Entertainment Corporation hosts a show called "Star Tracks" which aires every Friday evening at 7:30 pm on Channel 52. He continues to produce "Buck Rodgers Hawaiian Beat TV" on outer islands. Hawaiian Beat TV holds a title as best TV show from the Hawaii Music Awards, and Buck received a Hoku Award as a trombonist with Natural Vibrations.
